The Home Ignition Zone is how Colorado's forest service, the Colorado Springs Fire Department, and your insurer all think about your property. Our report is organized the same way, so everyone who reads it recognizes it.
Zone 0, the first 5 feet

Firewise USA communities maintain a community risk assessment renewed at least every five years, a three-year action plan, and documented annual actions, produced with the support of the Colorado Springs Fire Department. Our community sweep delivers that assessment with every home photographed and scored, so your board's plan starts from evidence instead of estimates.
Association authorization and homeowner notice precede every flight schedule. We photograph contracted parcels and common areas only.
We work alongside the fire department, never in its place.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department offers free on-site wildfire risk consultations at 719-385-7493, a mitigation cost-share program, and Firewise support through COSWildfireReady.org. We recommend them to every client. What we add is aerial coverage, per-home documentation at neighborhood scale, and the insurer-ready record.

WUIreport is operated from the Skyway area of Colorado Springs by a property owner with four decades of experience operating and managing real estate, flying under FAA Part 107. We live in the same wildland urban interface we photograph.
Independence is the point.
We do not sell, perform, or take commissions on the mitigation work our reports recommend. A contractor's free assessment is a sales call. Our report is evidence.
